Macam Format Gambar :

1. Format JPG/JPEG (Joint Photographic Expert Group)

    • Mampu mengkompres objek dengan kualitas sesuai dengan yang disediakan.

    • Format file ini mampu menyimpan  gambar dengan mode warna RGB,CMYK dan Grayscal.

2. Format TIF (Tagged Image Format File)
    • Mampu menyimpan gambar dengan kuwalitas sampai 32bit.
    • Digunakan untuk keperluan platform (PC,Mechintosh).
    • Berorientasi pada publikasi (cetak).

3. Format RAW
    • Near lossless compression.
    • Umum digunakan pada kamera digital.
    • Ukuran lebih kecil dari pada format TIFF.

4. Format GIF
    • Limited to an 8bit palette,or 256 colors.
    • Support animation.
    • Innefective for aefailed image or dithered image.

5. Format PNG
    • Alyernative lain dari format file GIF.
    • Support true color (16 million colors).
    • Bit depth hingga 24 bit.
    • Mampu menghasilkan latar belakang (background) dengan halus.

6. Format BMP (Windows Bitmap)
    • Hadle graphic images by microsoft windows OS.
    • Typically not compressed.
    • Restting in large files.

7. PDF (Portable Document Format)
    • Format file ini digunakan oleh Adobe Acrobat,dan dapat digunakan oleh grafik berbasis pixelnmaupun vector. Format ini juga mampu menyimpan gambar dengan mode warna  RGB,CMYK, Indexed color,Lab color ,Gray scale.dan Bitmap. Format ini tidak mampu menyimpan Alpha chanel ,format file ini sering menggunakan kompressi JPG dan ZIP.
